Two brothers commit a terrible sin by trying to bring their lost mother back to life. One brother loses his body, the other a few body parts. They try to put the one brothers soul in an inanimate object but has no idea of the taboo that will bring more grief in the end.
Viva La Vida - Coldplay
Around the 1700's, King Phillip of France, is taking advantage of his power by taxing and harrassing the people. Death from starvation causes confusion among the people as to why the king would do this. They wish to get rid of the king or in other words kill him and rid themselves of his mess.
Geek in the Pink - Jason Mraz
This "geek in the pink" has an undying adoration for this special girl. Things aren't working out for him as he tries to win her heart. He claims she will regret it if she lets him slip away. She is confused and doesn't know who she loves... she doesn't know true love.
House of Cards - Issac Russell
This unknown character faces two big conflicts that seem to uproot the family. His father won't stop drinking, and his mother won't stop cheating. Almost as if to say that you are who you are and there's no changing or stopping it. In reality... families fall apart, but that hard times can define and make you stronger or destroy and make you miserable.
Letter to Me - Brad Paisley
Wouldn't it be cool if you could write a letter to your younger self? Brad Paisley imagines his older, more matured self writing a letter to his younger self, providing him with advice and suggestions as he goes throughout life and how when life will get him down to pick himself back up and keep going. But sooner or later we have to face reality... we can't send a letter... we need to live life right the first time.

Songs with Stories...
Rascal Flatts
"It's not supposed to go like that"
This song is pretty dang depressing... but anyways its about a young boy named Tommy that is playing with his friend Joey and they are having a good time and everything when Tommy finds his dad's gun and they are already playing cowboys so he says "you be good and i'll be bad" and so he points and shoots and didn't know it was loaded. Joey dies and they have a funeral and everything is different.
It skips some years till he's older and has a girlfriend... they are drinking and having a grand ole time, but don't think about where they are parked and that's when the train comes and smashes into them killing them both.
Super depressing. But Rascal Flatts saw the inspiration to write about it from somewhere whether they knew people that that had happened to or what but anyways...
I really liked this because in the chorus they keep saying "it's not supposed to go like that... life is a journey..."
those were the key two phrases that i like just because it goes to show that things happen and it may not be for the better, they will be hard and you have to move on throughout life and take things as they come and not let them get you down.
Depressing song but thoughtful and meaningful at the same time.
